‍ ‍EMDR Intensives

An EMDR Intensive condenses months of weekly work into a single, extended block of focused time — instead of one 53-minute session a week, we work together in a sustained session with no week-long gaps to lose momentum in between. The underlying therapy is identical to standard EMDR — the same evidence-based protocol, the same careful preparation — the difference is the format. For some people, especially those with a specific memory or a complex trauma history, that sustained time makes a real difference.

Sessions are delivered by telehealth, same as the rest of our practice — and pacing, breaks, and sensory needs are built into the plan we make together, not an afterthought. EMDR Intensives are private-pay and are not billed through insurance.

Is This Right for You?

We start with a free 15-minute consultation call to talk through what you're working on, whether an intensive is a good fit, and how it's different from what you may have done in weekly therapy before. If you're already working with a therapist elsewhere, we'll talk about how an intensive can complement that work rather than disrupt it. And if an intensive isn't the right fit, we'll say so, and point you toward what would be.

After Your Intensive

Processing doesn't stop the moment the session ends — plan for some downtime afterward, and expect that new insights or feelings may keep surfacing over the following days. We'll put together a follow-up plan before you finish, whether that's a single check-in or a return to standard weekly sessions.

How It Works

Intensives are booked as extended session blocks, starting at a 2-hour minimum — we don't offer shorter “intensive” sessions, since less time doesn't allow for the sustained processing that makes this format worthwhile.

  • 2 hours: $350

  • Each additional hour: $175/hour

Our standard 48-hour cancellation policy applies to Intensives as well.

Insurance & Billing

This service is private-pay only and is not billed directly through insurance. If you're hoping to be reimbursed as an out-of-network provider, we recommend calling your insurance company directly to ask about their superbill reimbursement process — including what documentation and billing code they'll need, and what portion of the cost they'll cover.
